Cookie Policy
This website, www.ricaruff.com, is run by Rica Ruff, a voice-over artist based in London. This policy explains which cookies the site uses, why, and how you can control them. It sits alongside the site's Privacy Policy.
The site is built and hosted on Squarespace, so most cookies described here are set by Squarespace on my behalf. I follow the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR: non-essential cookies are only set if you agree to them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things, such as your cookie choices or what is in a cart, and help me understand how visitors use the site. Some sites also use similar technology called local storage; I treat it the same way as cookies in this policy.
Cookies are either strictly necessary (the site cannot work properly without them) or non-essential (such as analytics). Necessary cookies do not need your consent. Non-essential cookies do.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies keep the site secure and working, and remember your cookie choices. They are always on and cannot be switched off in the cookie banner.

Analytics cookies

This information is aggregated; I do not use it to identify you. These cookies are only set if you click Accept in the cookie banner.

Managing your cookie choices
When you first visit, a cookie banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. You can accept or decline, and the site works fully either way. To change your mind later, use the cookie settings link on the site, or clear cookies for ricaruff.com in your browser and the banner will appear again.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings:
If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site, such as the cart, may not work.

I will update this policy if the cookies on the site change, for example if I add a new tool or embedded content. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
